Extract from the World Peace Monument Foundation's charter

I.   Name, place of business, purpose and capital of the foundation
Section 1 Name and place of business

Under the name of World Peace Monument Foundation exists, as defined in Art. 80 ff of the Swiss Civil Code, a non-profit making foundation headquartered in Zug. It is possible to move the foundation’s domicile within Switzerland; the requirements are regulated by the board of directors in its rules of procedure.

Section 2 Purpose

The three monotheistic world religions are all concerned with worldwide peaceful co-existence. This is symobolised by various people, wearing the World Peace Monument. Through the foundation, and on behalf of the individual, the donor wants to promote these concerns not only by their words but also by their actions. And understand that these projects may involve financial input. The foundation can, if needed, help with the financing and realisation of the World Peace Monument at Jerusalem and the congress-building and the building of the permanent seat of the monotheistic World religions belonging to it (included self-financing and financing out of the fund). The foundation pays for the maintenance of the three buildings together with the other tasks connected with them to the Association for a World Peace Monument, Zurich, which is the owner. (Separate rules of procedure and budget).

Their main aim is convey to others that the use of force is never a suitable solution.

For this purpose the income of the foundation will be used as follows:
One fifth of total income for awarding persons, institutions, nations or its
representatives which can be identified by outstanding achievements with
there work or there engagement in various fields:

  • For harmony and humanity
  • Peace
  • Ecology
  • Exploring and preservation of the oceans
  • Language and history
  • World nutrition
  • Space travel and exploring outer space
  • Communication
  • Energy of life and alternative energies (sun, wind...)
  • Paranormal phenomena
  • The philosophy of living together and co-existing as different ethnic
  • groups and religious communities.
  • One fifth of total income for the direct financing of research activities to create
  • foundations for removing the centres of crisis caused by ecology, economy,
  • demography, medicine, law, ethnicity and/or religion.
  • One fifth of total income to finance the realisation of projects arising from the
  • basic research as outlined in the previous paragraph.
One fifth of the total income for the rehabilitation of, and humanitarian aid for, the
victims of war.

One fifth of total income for the organisation of spontaneous efforts considered
necessary by the foundation itself to create peace, promote peace and/or
maintain peace.

The details with regard to the requirements for awards as well as the conditions for financial support should be regulated in rules of procedure by the board of directors (see Section 11).
